Dancing Figures

Dancing figures is one of Haring’s most iconic motifs, the dancing figures appears through many of the artist’s works, and reflects the joy and energy of the New York club scene - in particular, the gay scene of the 70’s and 80’s. Their radiating lines have come to symbolise freedom and ecstasy.

Technique used - 
Batik is a traditional resist dyeing technique done by applying wax on the fabric surface. Wax resists the dye from penetrating the fabric on the applied areas.
